January 30, 2009

Hey Everyone! So it's Friday! An end to another fun filled week of work. I can't believe January is over already. It's crazy. As I get older I notice time goes by faster and faster. The kids are growing like weeds!

Work has been keeping me really busy lately. We're dealing with court battles, tax stuff, it seems like it never ends!!

This weekend is another uneventful one. Probably grocery shopping. We're getting a couch tonight for Luke's toy room. It's more of a little love seat. It'll be nice for him to have something to play on the I don't care if it gets all stained and jumped on. It also has a pull out bed under it so if anyone wants to pop over for the night :)~

Have a great weekend everyone.

The State of our State

Ok this blog is pretty much a rant about all the crap I've been dealing with lately...

So it's Tuesday and its already been an interesting week. I'm so sick of the economy and people playing the system!! How is it that a mother with four kids by four different men, with no job and no desire to get a job, can get the state to pay for her child care?? Literally this girl drops her kids off half a mile down the road then goes home and sits on her ass all day until it's time to go pick them up. Our tax dollars at work right there! And if someone is doing that up here I know it's happening all over the country. Yet Scott and I work 40+ hours a week and get ZERO help with any of our bills. I really hope Obama makes good on his promises and turns this country around. Maybe while he's at it he can reform the welfare system.

Now I'm not saying that everyone who receives benefits is a bad person. I can see if someone looses their job and need assistance for a little while, but there are people that live on the system their entire lives. Their parents were on it, and as soon as they turn 18 they go on it. Where does the cycle end?

And on another rant. There is a man, who remains nameless as well. He did subcontract work for a company I work for. This man in the last 7 years has not paid any taxes. Has never filed his tax return. I would guess he's made at least an average of $75 grand a year in those last 7 years. Then he goes and quits. Keep in mind he's a subcontractor so he's not subject to payroll taxes, he's required to file those himself. Now the state is letting him collect unemployment insurance under this company's account. Now NYS is so desperate for money and they have huge budget deficits, yet they are paying someone to live on the system who hasn't paid taxes in 7 years and probably owes them tens of thousands of dollars. Yet if I was to default on my land taxes or student loan payments they would be all over me. And they wonder why the state has no money. Let's tax people to death then give their hard earned tax dollars to no good rotten SOB's.

Well I've decided if Obama doesn't fix these problems, I may just run for president. What do you think? Will you vote for me? What do you think I should work on first? How about we start caring for the people in this country who break their backs everyday to make sure the country keeps going. And I know I'm not really talking about myself because I certainly don't break my back at my desk. But people who work hard every day for crappy wages while their boss has 12 mistresses and takes 20 vacations a year....

Ok that is the end of my rant. Hopefully I will have a happier blog tomorrow... until then,,,

God Bless America... or what's left of it anyways.

January 23, 2009

Hey everyone it's an end to another exciting week. Anna is rolling all over the place. She can go from her front to her back and back to her front. She hates when she gets her little armed stuck under her sometimes when she rolls over. Luke likes to get down and try to get her to roll towards her toys or sometimes he likes to share his toy cars. He loves his baby sister so much. I can't wait until they can play more together.

Anna has been teething like crazy. You can feel some of her bottom teeth are getting ready to poke through. I hope that they come soon, the poor babies mouth is so sensitive.

This week has been cold and snowy. I can't wait for spring! Next month we are taking the kids to Mickey and Minnie on Ice in Lake Placid. Luke loves mickey! I think he will have lots of fun.

This weekend we are looking forward to relaxing. I think its the first weekend since Thanksgiving that we don't have something on the schedule! I hope it stays that way.

Our cell phone company Unicel just switched to AT&T. We are debating staying with them or switching to Verizon, since now those are the only two that remain in the North Country. What do you guys think? Let me know if you have one or the other and which you prefer it will probably help us make a decision faster.

All for now! Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

It's the only one that fits ALL size boxes and pouches — and is insulated to keep drinks cold! Instead of squeezing their juice box (and spraying sticky drinks everywhere), kids hold onto our Juice Pal's soft-grip handles. For ages 18 months and up.

January 16, 2008

Ok so this is something new that we've decided to do. Hopefully we can keep it updated regularly. I was inspired by my friends Amanda and Kim. They both have great blogs and I look forward to reading them all the time. Scott is suppose to be helping out with these so between the two of us we should be able to keep it going and updated. It's been very cold this week up here in the Artic Circle. This morning I woke up and it was -15 degrees outside! I hate having to take the kids out in this kind of weather. Poor Luke looked like the abominable snowman, with like 10 layers of clothes on! I zipped Anna up in her car seat cuddle wrap. She hates it when you put anything over her face. As soon as we got into the car I had to take it off of her face. Then she was all happy and smiles again. Luke even said burrr. It was so cute.Hopefully it warms up soon!! Stay warm everyone TGIF!!!!!!!!!
